Feed The
Children Dayfor the Agoloma children

A Feed The Children day for the children of the Agoloma community — the food outreach of Angel Mercy Foundation, Inc., brought to the children we serve, right after school on a Saturday, with the whole community invited.

Everyone in the Agoloma community is welcome to come out and support the children — bring a friend, lend a hand, and be part of the day with us.

Right after school

during the after-school program

All children in the community are to meet at the Emmanuel Ogidi Elementary school building. The children will dine together that day.

What this day is

Food, and a room
full of children.

Feed The Children is the foundation’s food outreach. On this day it happens at home, in Agoloma, for the children we serve there — the same children our free after-school programs reach through the week.

A child should never have to wonder whether they matter. Our answer is to show up, again and again, until they know they do.

Why we do this work

  1. 01

    Food for the children

Feed The Children gathers groceries and packs them with volunteers, then gets them to the children and families in our community who are going without. On this day that work happens at home, in Agoloma, for the children the foundation serves there.

  2. 02

    A meal shared together

The day begins when school lets out, during the after-school program — and all the children in the community are to meet at the Emmanuel Ogidi Elementary school building. Then the children dine together. Not a bag pressed into a hand at a gate: a table, and a room full of children eating at it.

  3. 03

    A day the community shares

The children of Agoloma are the reason for it, and the community is part of it. A parent, a neighbour, a church, a school or a business — everyone who comes out makes the day bigger than the foundation could manage alone.

  4. 04

The same program, month after month

This is not a one-off. Feed The Children runs month to month, and a gift or a few hours of your time keeps it running long after Saturday is over.

Come out and support the children

Everyone in Agoloma
is part of this day.

A parent, a neighbour, a church, a school, a business — the day belongs to the community, and the foundation cannot carry it alone. If you would like to help put it on, or simply be there for the children, there is room for you.

Keep it running

A gift buys what a food drive cannot.

Milk, eggs, meat, produce, and the bags and boxes it all travels in. One-time gifts do something specific this week; monthly gifts keep the program running month after month.
